Treasurer for NYC Mayoral Campaign Office

About the Campaign: Join our dynamic and passionate team as we work towards electing the next mayor of New York City. Our campaign is dedicated to creating a more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous city for all residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Treasurer to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial activities of the campaign, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local campaign finance laws and regulations.

• Manage contributions and expenditures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

• Prepare and submit required financial disclosures and reports to the appropriate authorities.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to safeguard campaign funds.

• Coordinate with the fundraising team to track donations and manage donor relations.

• Provide regular financial updates to the campaign manager and senior leadership team.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a political campaign or nonprofit organization.

• Strong knowledge of campaign finance laws and regulations.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to the campaign's mission and values.​
